Sassy Mama: Peach Bread

Cooking expert Sassy Mama shows us how to make a delicious peach bread recipe.


1/3 cup butter, softened

1 cup of sugar

2 large eggs

1/3 cup milk

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/4 teaspoon almond extract

1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

1 cup diced peeled peaches

1-2/3 cups all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking soda

1/2 teaspoon of salt

1/4 teaspoon baking powder

Crumble topping:

1 cup flour

1/2 cup brown sugar

2 teaspoons of cinnamon

1/4 cup cold butter, cubed


Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Spray loaf pan with nonstick cooking spray. Beat softener butter and sugar together until smooth.

Stir in eggs, vanilla and almond extract and peaches. Add the frying ingredients and stir until the batter is smooth.

Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan. To prepare crumble topping: Use a fork or food processor for easy mixing. Add the crumble toppings to a bowl and use a fork to break the butter into the dry ingredients until it looks like wet sand or beat thoroughly in a food processor.

Sprinkle the filling on top of the bread. Bake for 1 hour or until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean.

**Sassy tip: To keep the filling from over browning, place a sheet of aluminum foil on top after about 45 minutes in the oven.
