Houston’s Long-Awaited Theater District Food Hall Finally Opens – Your Guide to the Lyric Market

AAfter much jolt, the long-awaited food hall at Lyric Market will open its doors this Thursday, October 13 in Houston’s downtown theater district. The food hall was created in collaboration with Hospitality HQ, a consultancy and management group.

Hospitality HQ is the fastest growing food hall management company in the country. It is run by chef, TV personality and cookbook author Akhtar Nawab. Nawab curated the nine restaurant stalls and bar that will operate in Houston’s new food hall that takes up an entire city block.

“We are thrilled to announce the opening of this innovative food hall in downtown Houston,” Nawab said in a statement. “Our number one goal is to provide support to top restaurateurs and to truly invest in the surrounding community.

“We look forward to being part of the culturally diverse tapestry that is Houston.”

Located in the majestic Lyric Tower at 411 Smith Street, the 14,000 square foot Lyric Market sits at the center of a sprawling multi-story space. Equipped with a 7,500 square foot terrace, a common plaza and a street-side terrace, the food hall will also offer 10,000 square feet of indoor space dedicated to special events and private dining, as well as a conference center and possible shopping opportunities.
