Cooking tips: make the perfect “boiled egg on toast” with this foolproof recipe

2 – Eggs
Water for boiling the eggs
1 teaspoon – White vinegar
A slice of sourdough
1 teaspoon – Butter
1 tbsp – Spicy mayo/any spread of your choice/hummus (adjust to taste)
2-3 leaves – Lettuce
2 – Cherry tomatoes, halved
2-3 – Cucumber slices
Extra virgin olive oil (EVOO) for drizzling
Salt + pepper to taste
* Bring a small pot of water to a boil. Carefully place the eggsstill in their shell, in the water.
* Set a timer and cook for exactly six minutes. This will give a runny yolk but a still white.
*Remove the cooked eggs from the water and place them in an ice bath and add a teaspoon of vinegar. This makes peeling easier.
* Toast your bread in a pan with a little butter until it browns.
*To assemble, spread your spread on toast followed by lettuce, cucumbers and cherry tomatoes. Finish with the two shelled soft-boiled eggs.
* Drizzle with EVOO and sprinkle with salt and pepper to taste and serve immediately.
Pro Tip: If you want it badassthen cook it for eight minutes.
