Brian To’o try, video, watch, Penrith Panthers highlights, South Sydney Rabbitohs, Cody Walker tackle, results, Panthers winger, live scores

Panthers flyer Brian To’o produced the “play of the season” with a try from 70 yards, jostling Rabbitohs point guard Cody Walker to leave four players in his wake.

With 30 seconds remaining in the first half, the Rabbitohs charged down the right side of the field before Campbell Graham dropped the ball into the path of To’o who got away.

Cody Walker and Damien Cook looked certain to stop his break, but with an effort Fox League’s Michael Ennis compared to All Blacks winger Jonah Lomu, To’o fended off the cover tackle.

A stumbling Walker then tripped Cook who, in his attempt to escape his five-eight, clipped chasing young pistol Lachlan Ilias – but he could only watch To’o cross to level the scores 12 at mid -time.

“He bulldozes Brian To’o on the stroke of halftime, unbelievable,” Fox League’s Dan Ginnane said.

“Shades of Jonah Lomu, just on the far flank, and Brian To’o, he had three South Sydney defenders, I don’t know how he did it,” Ennis said.

“He just bends over and twists his body into Cody Walker, shrugs him off… here’s Walker, bang, just throws his right shoulder.

“Brian To’o is going to level the Panthers at halftime, can you believe it?

“This is an amazing solo try, this is a wonderful solo try by Brian To’o.”

“This man is a human bulldozer,” Ginnane said.

Fox League’s Braith Anasta was shocked at the Rabbitohs’ tactic, opting for a try instead of scoring a field goal to take a seven-point lead before the Panthers’ four-point pointer.

“I couldn’t believe Souths didn’t put up a basket on the stroke of halftime, take a seven-point lead and take control at halftime,” Anasta said.

“Should have aimed for the one point, Brian To’o, what a ball runner he is,” Parker said.

“Did Cody Walker fall after him, knock him down, in turn trip Damien Cook over himself for what could be the play of the season for himself.”

“He literally uses Cody Walker and roadkill, put it in you and see you later,” Cronk said.

“Two tries in the last four minutes, game on.”
